Taurisano - Salento - Puglia
A fifteenth-century masseria among olive trees and prickly pears, where the days slow down and time is measured in long shadows.

Chapter one
White stone, lime and silence
Masseria Bianca stands in the countryside of Taurisano, at the end of a white road lined with cypresses. The original building dates back to the 15th century: thick stone walls, rustic courtyards, vaulted ceilings and a light that changes colour every hour.
The restoration was carried out with respect, keeping the identity of the place and adding only what is needed to live well. The result is a country house that is cared for, clean and simple, with its history still on its walls.

Chapter two
The pool, the afternoon, nothing else
The seasonal outdoor pool looks out over olive trees and the open Salento sky. Around it, local stone, pale gravel and a few chairs in the shade - no music, no hurry.
This is where you come back after the crowded beaches, for a last swim before the sun drops behind the dry-stone walls.

Chapter three
A family, not a reception desk
You are welcomed by a Salento family. Milk and water left in the kitchen when you arrive, fruit from the land when it is in season, and honest advice on beaches, trattorias and villages that the guidebooks miss.
During your stay you can smell typical Italian country life - and that, more than any amenity, is why guests come back.
coffee is taken in the courtyard, in the shade

Very warm, inviting masseria. We loved the nature surrounding it, the tranquility, the space for our kids to play, and the relaxing pool area which took the historical elements of the surroundings into consideration.

Very nice masseria, family owned and operated. Refurbished, quite new, with some traditional touches, made in a very tasteful way.
